Activities
Activities outside the classroom and the extended school day play an important part in a pupil's personal development.
A wide choice is offered by the school and pupils are encouraged to take part.
Every year there numerous opportunities to discover and experience the world beyond Small Heath both in this country and on the continent.
Pupils are encouraged and enabled to extend their work in school by attending residential and day times courses. Fieldwork activities and Outdoor Pursuits are a regular features of the school calendar.
Excellent relationships exist with the Royal Navy and Army allowing pupils to experience top quality team building and leadership activities run by highly skilled and trained professionals.
Every year , the usual timetable is abandoned for three days so that pupils can engage in their chosen activity from a list of over twenty options. Pupils engage in a diversity of activities, some involving day traps, others residential experiences and all have some degree of school-bases input.
