Aims
FOSHS wish to facilitate the community’s access to Small Heath School to support projects which will mutually benefit the needs of people on a local national and global scale.
Present Situation
The structure of the school has been completed to house approximately 300 pupils of a mixed age group. The official opening was on the 16th October 2008.
138 Pupils are presently housed in the school with 9 Teachers and 2 Caretakers.
FOSHS has paid Janat Ul Firdous Charity a further £1100 towards furnishing the school with new desks and chairs.
Achievements
The beginning of a new cycle of education in Small Heath School in the village of Barakot close to the city of Balakot in Pakistan
Raising £21,000 towards the structure of a new school in the earthquake area of Barakot in Pakistan was done through the following activities:
3 Ladies Gala’s
2 Summer Bazaars
Donations from the local community
Fund raising event at Star City
Pupils’ own fund raising activities both in and out of school
Donations from the running of stalls by the local Community and the School
Donations from the School’s Staff
The support of Radio Excel to raise awareness through broadcasting dates of

Present Needs:
Funds need to be raised for ;
Teachers’ salaries to the amount of £3000 per year. We are presently trying to organize fund raising events and need your help.
