If pupils are away from school it is their responsibility to bring a note to their tutor as soon as they return. The note should be dated and explain the reason for the absence and must be written by their parent or guardian. Letters may be written in languages other than English.
Parents/Guardians should telephone if their child is unable to attend school.
Long holidays abroad during term time are positively discouraged.
Forms to request leave of absence are available from reception.
A child's school place can only be guaranteed for two weeks from the date of the last attendance.
When pupils have medical appointments during school time, the school needs to have prior notice, either by letter or telephone giving the time and date of the appointment and requesting leave of absence. If pupils are away from school and we have not been notified of a reason our Home School Liaison Team will contact you in due course.
